The brief was to bring the lush and green to the new 400 m2 office. The company will need to have a large meeting room that will double as the lunch room, a second smaller meeting room, a waiting room, two private offices, a wardrobe, a storage room and a lounge area. To accommodate the budget without compromising the end result, most of the existing flooring was kept and revamped secondhand furniture was used for the standard working spaces.
The "before" space was boring, had no soul, and reeks everything standard in office space. After the transformation, this office became a pleasant place for guests, clients and employees alike. The living plants together with some great visuals rejuvenate the day.
Who would mind waiting if one can sit in the garden with a cup of good coffee?
This is definitely not your usual "waiting room".......
A special area was requested for having good conversations and good books. Those comfy couch and soft high-back armchairs formed this special intimate nook you want to be in.
An image of plants growing on top of a wall is deliberately chosen for the two private offices to give the feeling of more space behind the wall.
Because the old office was located near Kenaupark, the director of the company has requested that this amazing memory to be taken with them in the new office. The view of the park is now part of the right wing of the new office space.
Some existing furniture from the old office was reused in the second meeting room. The design was kept simple and uncomplicated, balancing it with the dramatic green surrounding.
There is no lack of green for sure in this space. At the end the vision, the budget and the people coming together to make this wonderful project a reality.
