Many important examples of modernist furniture were made from plywood. Cheaper and more easily accessible than aluminum or steel, plywood was a key material for early 20th century designers. When the avant-garde architects and designers of the 1920s searched for ways of making cheap mass-producible furniture, plywood looked like an attractive solution. And let's be honest: it is still an attractive material to use today. Due to the many requests my 'easy to produce' chair designs created for Cafe DIT are now finally in production and exclusively sold from our web shop.
