It is pretty evident that we love minimalist style here at homify, so it is to be expected that we would touch on it again. In this case, our inquiring eye is directed towards furniture that encompasses this style. A furniture style with such force that it does not need to have added layers or decoration, but rather, to do the exact opposite: to be minimalist means to subtract the superfluous and to preserve the  function of the object.

Cooking with geometry

Introducing a minimalist style in your own home is simple feat. This kitchen, with its custom-designed furnishings. The pattern is clear: the main part, on either sides have been left for the oven and the fridge, with the centre developing the shelf for the sink. The island, however, in this case, is the real heart of the kitchen.

Squares

Maximum Ballardin devised Square, an elegant piece of contemporary furniture. The special feature is the glass doors which have been decorated with a special technique of silver plating and sandblasting.

20mm

Communicating a minimal footprint in all their projects, 20M is the prototype of a style that speaks about synthesis of forms: slimness and compactness in just 20mm thick. This is a table with four legs that becomes so thin it seems to barely touch the floor.

Suspended

A true marvel of a interior design project, this seemingly floating bed epitomises minimalist design. Light weight and intriguing, the overall function of the bed is not compromised by the style. In essence, a true product of minimalism.

Minimal chic

Minimal design now days doesn't necessarily mean completely undecorated as it did once upon a time. The lamp, with its thin structure, brings the concept of glitz to another level, further explored: a perfect combination of simplicity and a strong high-glamour look.

’70s

Next, we move into the living room where an innovation from the past has surfaced into modern design. This '70s take on curvy furniture transforms and breaks down the idea of the table. The edges seem to not exist, instead favouring curves and smooth lines.

On the terrace

Can a sofa in the shape of stone to be comfortable? For the minimalist design, the stone is refined, it bends and turns into a hollow form which is enveloping and comfortable. Given the colour palette it embodies purity, lightness and charm.
