Looking Eastward the inspiration for this collection is texture for Kasuri and colour for Kobe & Kyoto.

Kasuri is a 14th century Japanese textile technique where dye is randomly applied to yarn, which when woven, creates distinctive brushed stroke patterns in the flatweave cloth. The ancient technique has bee applied to the Yarn to create an organic, evolving pattern, which has been married with a simple plain textured herringbone band to create a smart, structured tailored stripe. Available in Indigo, Cherry & Onyx. Perfect for stirs it can also be joined to create distinctive rugs of any size or wall to wall carpeting.

Linked by colour, Kobe and Kyoto complement one another perfectly. In Kobe the colours form fine, delicate stripes to create a subtle, flecked 'tweed' design whilst Kyoto magnifies the dominant colours to a grand theatrical style. The bold stripes are non symmetrical but perfectly balanced in hue and tone.

Each design stands alone Kyoto makes a bold opening statement whilst Kobe invites closer attention for its subtlety of tone and texture.

When laid together, the customary arrangement would be to upholster the stairs in the more dramatic Kyoto with fitted landing in fine classic Kobe, but we invite you to explore the reverse – imagine a simple, stripe runner on the stairs leading to a boldly decked landing.
